There are many traditions of astrology, some of which share similar features due to the transmission of astrological doctrines between cultures. Other traditions developed in isolation and hold completely different doctrines, although they too share some similar features due to the fact that they are drawing on similar astronomical sources.

Throughout its long history, astrology has come to prominence in many countries and undergone developments and change. There are many astrological traditions that are historically important, but which have largely fallen out of use today. Astrologers still retain an interest in them and regard them as an important resource.

Scientific theories are sometimes labelled 'numerology' if their primary inspiration appears to be mathematical rather than scientific. This colloquial use of the word 'numerology' is quite common within the scientific community and it is mostly used to dismiss a theory as questionable science.
The best known example of 'numerology' in science involves the coincidental resemblance of certain large numbers that intrigued such eminent mathematical physicists as Dirac, Weyl and Eddington. These numerical co-incidences refer to such quantities as the ratio of the age of the universe to the atomic unit of time, the number of electrons in the universe, and the difference in strengths between gravity and the electric force for the electron and proton. ('Is the Universe Fine Tuned for Us?

Large number co-incidences continue to fascinate many mathematical physicists. For instance, James G. Gilson has constructed a 'Quantum Theory of Gravity' based loosely on Dirac's large number hypothesis .

Chiromancy or cheiromancy, (Greek cheir, “hand”; manteia, “divination”), is the art of characterization and foretelling the future through the study of the palm, also known as palmistry, palm-reading, chirology or hand analysis. The practice is found all over the world, with numerous cultural variations. Those who practise chiromancy are generally called chiromancers, palmists, palm readers or chirologists.

Modern palmistry can trace its roots back to Roma fortune tellers and Indian mystics, but often modern palmists combine traditional predictive techniques with psychology, holistic healing, and alternative methods of divination.

The practice of chiromancy is generally regarded as a pseudoscience, although some studies have been made in medical journals that may give it some validity.[citation needed] It should be noted that the information outlined below is briefly representative of modern palmistry; there are many ― often conflicting ― interpretations of various lines and palmar features across various "schools" of palmistry.

NUMEROLOGY: MASTER NUMBER
Sometimes when reducing a birth date or birth name down to it's numerological equivalent the result will be a double-digit number such as 11, 22 and 33. Although they would be reduced down to a single digit for the purposes of a reading, the presence of these double-digit numbers are evidence of an enlightened or psychic individual. These numbers are called Master numbers because they possess more potential than other numbers. Usually the personality of a master number is problematic in some way, as their behavior can be erratic, withdrawn, highly charged and difficult. This is the evidence of the higher self trying to propel the personality onto a higher path.

Astrology is a group of systems, traditions, and beliefs in which knowledge of the relative positions of celestial bodies and related details is held to be useful in understanding, interpreting, and organizing information about personality, human affairs, and other terrestrial events. A practitioner of astrology is called an astrologer, or, less often, an astrologist.
